(More customer reviews)The rep at the Apple store told me that the new iPod Touch did not require a screen protector. But I was nervous about ruining the screen because I have a 2-year old at home. I decided to purchase this item, and it was such a mistake. These are lousy thin pieces of serang wrap that don't stick well to the screen at all. I consider myself fairly good at applying screen protectors (I've installed films for a lot of my friends). The film went on with several tiny bubbles on the screen, which are the result of thin material. As I tried to push the bubbles out with my fingers, the film got scratched (I did not even use my nails). On to the second film, same result - lots of tiny bubbles. This time I was more gentle in trying to press the bubbles out - not happening. By the third film I knew what to expect, but I tried any way - same disappointing result.
The film itself is of very poor quality. You can tell by holding just the screen protector by itself. If the plastic is of good quality, it will hold straight by itself. This film, however, curls up. If the film been slightly thicker, there would have been no bubbles. Poor quality and a complete disappointment.
Installing a screen protector, as simple as it sounds, can be a very frustrating experience if you don't get the results you expect. That is exactly where I am right now, after I unsuccessfully went through all 3 films in less than 5 minutes. Definitely do not recommend this item, save yourself the aggravation. I will wait for the Zagg Invisible Shield to be released, at least I am familiar with their quality.
