(More customer reviews)This is a clam-shell type case for the Nano 5th gen that is well constructed, and clicks together solidly. The top and bottom edges of the Nano however are completely exposed, as is the circular control area. The screen is completely protected by this case.
The case is slim and looks nice. You can get versions with patterns printed on the case (such as the "shade" which adds a fade to black graphic on the bottom 1/4 of the case in a pattern I find very pleasing).
The case provides very good protection and very little bulk or weight. The only issue I can see is that the screen area can be scratched over time (perhaps it needs a removable "screen protector" for the case)? I do not have any scratches on my (new) unit but I would venture to say it will be inevitable.
All in all I am quite pleased with this case....
